Job summary

Abound Health is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) / Caregiver to support individuals in Mooresville/Statesville/Troutman. You’ll assist with daily living, promote independence, and help with community participation and behavioral support, ensuring safety and dignity in daily routines.

The role offers flexible schedules (full-time and part-time), weekly pay, paid training, and opportunities for growth within a mission-driven organization with over 20 years in the I/DD space.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships and support individuals in achieving personal goals
• Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation, hygiene, and household tasks
• Support individuals in community participation, employment, and social activities
• Use adaptive tools to aid learning and facilitate communication
• Encourage independence and help individuals develop new skills
• Monitor health and safety while maintaining a supportive environment
• Communicate with Abound team members, families, and external parties (case managers, etc.) as needed
• Complete documentation and maintaining schedules
• Complete ongoing training and professional development
