Job summary

Shalomy's Caring Hands LLC is looking for an experienced Direct Support Professional to provide one-on-one Community Coaching for an adult with developmental disabilities in the Fredericksburg area.

The role involves active community engagement, patient and calm interaction, and helping individuals build independence while staying safe. Starting pay is $20/hour, with higher pay possible based on verified DSP experience.

Qualifications

• 1 year DSP experience preferred.
• Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities strongly preferred.
• Must have valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Must pass background checks and complete required training.

Shalomy's Caring Hands LLC is looking for an experienced, dependable Direct Support Professional to provide one-on-one Community Coaching services for an adult with developmental disabilities in the Fredericksburg area.

This position is best for someone who enjoys being active in the community, is patient, calm under pressure, and has experience supporting individuals with higher support needs. We are looking for someone who is dependable, attentive, and genuinely enjoys helping others build independence while staying safe.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support in community settings.
• Support community participation and independent living skills.
• Follow the individual's ISP and safety plans.
• Assist with personal care if needed.
• Use positive behavior support and redirection.
• Complete service documentation and EVV accurately.
• Communicate regularly with the supervisor regarding concerns or changes.
• Maintain professionalism and confidentiality.

Requirements

• At least1 year of DSP or similar experience preferred.
• Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, behavioral needs, or higher support needs strongly preferred.
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Must pass background checks.
• Must be willing to complete required training.
• Must be dependable, patient, and professional.
• Must be comfortable working one-on-one in community settings.

Schedule

Monday, Wednesday and Friday

9:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Additional hours may become available.

Pay

Starting at $20/hour. Higher pay may be considered based on verified DSP experience.
