Wage: $19.65 per hour (this wage includes an enhanced rate specific to employees working directly at the Complex Needs Program). Full Range Scale: $19.65 - $21.90

  • MUST BE FLEXIBLE - unable to adjust schedules based on applicant's current employment

Responsibilities include:

  • Planning outings and activities, personal care, and hygiene tasks
  • Monitoring health needs, including medications, special diets, and notifying supervisors of outstanding needs
  • Home care, shopping, and meal preparation
  • Setting goals and learning new skills and hobbies
  • Assisting in developing positive behavior supports by providing feedback about individual preferences
  • Participating in the formulation and implementation of individual treatment plans, including data collection, report writing, participation in treatment team meetings, and carrying out team recommendations
  • Providing lift and transfer assistance (may include non-ambulatory individuals), requiring ability to carry and maneuver up to 50 or more pounds of unbalanced weight
  • Building healthy habits and relationships
  • Supporting positive behavior and boundaries
  • Maintaining well-being and safety by following plans and reporting guidelines

Minimum requirements:

  • 6 months of experience working with people who have developmental disabilities
  • Willing to be actively engaged and creative with ideas for outings and engagement in the home
  • Experience working as RBT or paraeducator (preferred)
  • Excellent written and verbal English language skills
  • 18+ years or older
