Job summary

Advocate Healthcare Services seeks a compassionate Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our Franklin, OH team. In this role, you empower individuals with disabilities to live independently by providing daily living support and personal care, following ISPs and documenting progress.

You will assist with transportation to appointments and activities, administer medications as directed, and collaborate with families and the care team to foster independence and community integration.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• CPR/First Aid certification encouraged or willingness to obtain.
• Valid Ohio driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Background check and drug screening required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and daily living support to individuals with IDD.
• Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, meal preparation, and household tasks.
• Implement ISPs and document progress accurately.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Previous experience in direct care, caregiving, or human services preferred
• Valid Ohio driver's license with a clean driving record
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Strong communication, patience, and problem-solving skills
• Genuine compassion and commitment to person-centered care
