Job summary

Abound Health is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide caregiving and daily living support for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Taylorsville, NC. You will assist with ADLs, community participation, and behavioral support to help clients live more independently.

We offer flexible schedules and weekly pay, plus paid onboarding & training, growth opportunities, and a $1,000 signing bonus paid in installments when averaging 20+ hours per week.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver’s license, current auto insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass background checks and healthcare registry checks.
• Willingness to address personal care needs when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships and support individuals in achieving personal goals.
• Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation, hygiene, and household tasks.
• Support individuals in community participation, employment, and social activities.
• Use adaptive tools to aid learning and facilitate communication.
• Encourage independence and help individuals develop new skills.
• Monitor health and safety while maintaining a supportive environment.
• Communicate with Abound team members, families, and external parties as needed.
• Complete documentation and maintaining schedules.
• Complete ongoing training and professional development.

Job Title: Direct Support Professional (DSP) / Caregiver –Alexander Opps Day Program--Taylorsville

Direct Support Professional (DSP) – $16.00-18.00-/hr + $1,000 Signing Bonus –(paid over 1 year/avg. 20 hours per week to qualify for Bonus)

As a DSP, you will assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), community participation, and behavioral support while helping clients live independently. Requirements

• Must be 18 years or older
• Valid driver’s license, current automotive insurance, and reliable transportation.
• Ability to pass criminal record, driving record, and healthcare registry checks
• Willingness to address personal care needs when necessary
• Lifting may be required, depending on client needs

Experience working with individuals with disabilities is not required – we provide paid training and support

Pay & Signing Bonus

Starting Pay: $16.00-18.00-/hour

$1,000 signing bonus paid in 3 installments when averaging 20+ hours/week
