Job summary

Genesis Recruiting is seeking a compassionate Direct Support Professional (DSP) in Kingston, NY. The DSP will assist individuals with developmental disabilities in daily living, personal care, and community integration, with afterschool hours and weekend availability.

You will follow ISPs, monitor health and safety, transport to activities, and maintain records while working with families and supervisors to support each person's growth. A clean driving record and background check are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Must have a clean and valid driving record and be able to drive individuals to appointments and activities as needed.
• Prior experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is a plus, but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, compassion, and a positive attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and household tasks.
• Support individuals in participating in community activities, encouraging social interactions, and fostering personal growth.
