Job summary

ASG Home Care in New Jersey is actively hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes and communities across the state. You will work one-on-one with clients, following each person's ISP, providing hands-on support to promote independence and daily living success.

We offer flexible hours with day, evening, and weekend shifts, consistent local cases, and a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Compassionate, dependable, and motivated to make a difference.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized home and community-based support to individuals with developmental disabilities.
• Assist with daily living activities including personal care, meal preparation, and transportation.

Position Overview

As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) with ASG Home Care, you will provide hands‑on support that promotes independence, community engagement, and daily living success. As a Direct Support Professional, you will work one‑on‑one with individuals in both home and community settings while following each person's Individualized Service Plan (ISP).

Key Responsibilities as a Direct Support Professional (DSP)

• Provide individualized home and community-based support to individuals with developmental disabilities
• Assist with daily living activities including personal care, meal preparation, and transportation
• Encourage independence and community participation aligned with each client's ISP
• Document services accurately and communicate with the care team
• Build meaningful, consistent relationships with the individuals you support

What We're Looking For in a Direct Support Professional

• Must be 18 years or older
• High school diploma or GED preferred

• Prior caregiving, DSP, or human services experience preferred but not required
