Job summary

Abilities Network in Maryland is seeking a full-time role focused on helping individuals gain independence by teaching new skills and building natural supports. A valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle are required to transport participants to community activities.

You will deliver tailored services, provide on-the-job coaching, and support the development of interpersonal skills, with a Monday–Friday 8:30 am–5:30 pm schedule and mileage reimbursement in every pay period.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred but not required.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle.
• Minimum $50,000 Automobile Liability Insurance.
• Excellent time-management skills.
• Ability to develop solutions and build relationships using community resources.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals in working toward personal independence by supporting the learning of new skills and building a system of natural supports.
• Drive individuals to community activities and events; personal vehicle, car insurance, and a valid driver’s license are required.
• Deliver customized services tailored to each individual's preferences and personal goals.
• Provide on-the-job coaching to assist individuals in becoming independent.
• Encourage the development of individuals’ interpersonal skills.

Employee Type: Full-time

Base Pay: $18.00/hour non‑negotiable, mileage reimbursement and $20/pay auto allowance

Location: Baltimore City, Middle River, Essex and Dundalk, Maryland

Starting rate of pay: $18.00 per hour (non‑negotiable). The average annual starting income for this position is $46,900, which includes the hourly rate, $20.00 per pay auto allowance, and average mileage reimbursement.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:30 am–5:30 pm
