Job summary

ViaQuest Community Solutions in Lafayette, IN is hiring a Direct Support Professional (DSP). Training is provided, no prior experience required.

The role pays $15.75 per hour and offers paid training, benefits for full-time staff, PTO, holiday pay, mileage reimbursement and flexible schedules.

You will provide direct care, support independence, and help with daily activities while ensuring health and safety; a reliable vehicle and Indiana driver’s license are needed.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Reliable vehicle to transport individuals served.
• Valid Indiana driver’s license and car insurance.
• Can push, lift or carry up to 50 lbs and can kneel and crouch.
• Experience in developmental disabilities or direct care preferred but not required.
• Ability to pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities to foster independence and safety.
• Work with a team to meet the needs of those served.
• Teach and assist individuals in all aspects of life.
• Complete household tasks including meal preparation and maintaining a clean, safe living environment.
• Provide personal care assistance.

At ViaQuest Community Solutions we provide quality support and services to individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes. As a DSP, training for this position is provided in its entirety so no experience is required.

15.75 per hour /

Requirements for this position include:
