Job summary

Central Florida Communities, Inc. (CFC) is seeking compassionate staff at Lake View Court in Orlando to support residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This role covers direct care, daily living activities, grooming, meals, and safety monitoring.

You will follow individualized treatment plans, document needs and incidents, and participate in training. Requirements include a high school diploma and being 18+, with 6 months IDD experience preferred.

Central Florida Communities, Inc. (CFC) has warm, welcoming, home-inspired facilities and programs for individuals with developmental disabilities in Orange, Brevard, Lake and Seminole Counties.

CFC operates three 64-bed Intermediate Care Facilities for the Developmentally Disabled (ICF/DD's), Howell Branch Court, Lake View Court and Washington Square. As a member of our staff, you will be a part of one of these living centers and provide vital around the clock care, which includes nursing and medical oversight, to our residents.

Purpose:

This position directly supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This position helps with everyday tasks such as ADL's. These include daily grooming, meal service, risk mitigation and following any applicable behavioral management plans as defined by the resident individual needs.

Actively engages with individuals at all times and provide all necessary supports to meet their needs, including all direct care and service requirements. Follows Active Treatment/Programming schedule.

Identifies hazards or dangerous behaviors in the environment and takes immediate action to avoid, mitigate or eliminate, and report hazardous conditions or unsafe behaviors. Ensures the safety of self, residents/consumers, co-workers, families, guardians and visitors at all times.

Implements electronic and paper documentation of training needs including programming, incident reporting, datacollection and behavior observations.

Required Qualification:

• High School Diploma or equivalent education is required.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 6 months experience preferred working with Intellectual/Developmental Disability populations.
