Job summary

RHDD Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide compassionate in-home and community-based support for individuals with developmental disabilities in southeastern Ohio.

You will assist with daily living activities, transportation, hygiene, and health-related tasks, while building trusted relationships. Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 18 years of age or older.
• Valid Driver’s License required (with <6 points).
• Reliable transportation with current proof of state minimum auto insurance, most positions require use of personal vehicle during work hours.

Responsibilities

• Provide services to individuals with developmental disabilities in home and community settings.
• Assist with daily living activities including housekeeping, meal prep, shopping, and finances.

Monday Through Thursday - 630am to 945am

Monday Through Friday- 7am to 9:45am

230pm to 530pm

What will you be doing?

As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you could be wearing many hats. A DSP provides services to individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes and out in the community.

• You could be teaching the individuals we serve how to complete a given task.
• You could be assisting the individuals with daily living activities which may include housekeeping, meal and menu prep, grocery shopping, day to day finances etc.
• You could be assisting the individuals with personal hygiene examples include but not limited to: bathing, grooming, dressing and undressing, feeding toileting and positioning when necessary.
• You could be providing transportation for the individual to delegated activities. Which could include, but not limited to doctor appointments, outings into the community, shopping and vacations.
• You could be documenting and administering medication and health related tasks.
• You could be reporting to your supervisor any suspected need of medical attention, evidence of abuse, neglect and other health and safety issues.
• You could be gaining a friend to the individuals. They will see you as someone they can trust. They could even become like an extended family.

Minimum Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 18 years of age or older
• Valid Driver’s License (with less than six (6) points).
• Reliable transportation with current proof of state minimum auto insurance, most positions require use of personal automobile during work hours
