Job summary

ViaQuest Residential Services is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) in Mt. Vernon, OH. You will help individuals with developmental disabilities live more independently, with full training provided starting day one.

Positions include full-time and part-time, across 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shifts. No prior experience is required; training and certifications are offered (CPR, First Aid, Medication Administration).

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• High School Diploma or GED
• Reliable vehicle with active insurance
• Valid Driver’s License (with MVRC requirements)

Responsibilities

• Supporting individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes and communities
• Assisting with daily living skills and personal growth
• Teaching and encouraging independence
• Providing personal care as needed
• Preparing meals and assisting with household tasks
• Creating a safe, clean, and supportive living environment
• Transporting individuals to appointments, activities, and community events

What You’ll Need

• Must be at least 18 years old
• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Driver’s License
  • Motor Vehicle Record must specific requirements including (but not limited to):
    • No OVI/DUI's, reckless operations, or speeding violations more than 20 MPH over posted limit
    • No more than 2 moving violations in the last 2 years or more than 5 points
• Reliable vehicle with active insurance
• Ability to lift, push, or carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to bend, kneel, crouch, balance, and assist individuals as needed
