Job summary

At Peace Health Care Agency is seeking an experienced Direct Support Professional (DSP) to help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities live meaningful, independent lives in home and community settings. You will provide direct support with daily living activities, personal care, mobility, and companionship.

Responsibilities include promoting independence, documenting services, following BSPs, maintaining safety and confidentiality, and accompanying clients to appointments.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) required.
• Experience supporting individuals with behavioral needs and implementing BSPs preferred.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

• Encourage independence, social engagement, and community participation.
• Implement individualized care plans and BSPs.
• Support individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder and other developmental disabilities.

• Provide reliable transportation as needed.
• Accurately document services, progress notes, and goal tracking.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations and agency policies.
