Residential Direct Support Professional (DSP)

Location: Mount Prospect, Skokie, and Morton Grove, IL

Search360 is actively seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our team as Residential Direct Support Professionals for our Supported Living Program.

Employment Type: Full Time

Salary: $21.00/hour

• 2nd Shift - Saturday, Sunday 9:30a.m.-9:30p.m.; Monday, Friday 3:30p.m.-11:30p.m.

About the Role: As a Direct Support Professional, you play a vital role in delivering high-quality, community-based services to adults with disabilities. This position offers an extraordinary opportunity to change lives and inspire others to do the same.

We are currently hiring for full-time Residential DSPs to work in our Supported Living Program. This position is 2nd and 3rd shift.

Responsibilities

• Provide support with personal self-care tasks such as toileting, eating, grooming, bathing, and dressing.
• Contribute to the planning and participation in various community activities and medical appointments.
• Offer necessary transportation support to ensure residents’ participation.
• Engage actively with residents, implementing meaningful activities throughout their day or evening.
• Understand and follow Individual Service Plans, actively contributing to the achievement of established goals for the current period.
• Support residents in various recreational activities, programs, and goal-oriented initiatives.
• Provide supervision and attention throughout the day to ensure the safety and well-being of residents.
• Be committed to providing the highest quality of life for our residents, fostering a supportive and nurturing environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and/or GED
• Ability to lift/carry up to 44 lbs. and perform basic physical moves such as kneeling, reaching, crouching, bending, and twisting.
• Valid driver’s license; willingness to be certified to drive 10-16 passenger vehicles (training provided).
• Flexibility to work weekend shifts and potentially some holidays.
• 2 weeks of full-time paid training provided and required to become certified as a DSP.
• Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid certification (training provided).
• Must meet federal (I9) and State requirements (fingerprinting, background check, etc.).
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to be a certified driver through PACE Vanpool.
