Job summary

ASG Home Care in New Jersey is hiring Direct Support Professionals to support individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes and communities. You will work one-on-one, following ISP, promoting independence and daily living skills.

We offer flexible shifts (full-time, part-time, per-diem), local NJ cases, competitive pay based on experience, and onboarding. Must be 18+, HS diploma or GED preferred; valid driver’s license preferred; fingerprinting, background checks, and drug screening

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.
• Ability to pass fingerprinting, background checks, and drug screening (required).
• CPR/First Aid certification required (or willingness to obtain).
• Prior Direct Support Professional (DSP) or caregiving experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one support to individuals in home and community settings.
• Promote independence, daily living skills, and community engagement.
• Follow Individualized Service Plans (ISP) and document services accurately.
• Ensure safety, supervise when needed, and communicate with families and staff.

Position Overview

As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) with ASG Home Care, you will provide hands-on support that promotes independence, community engagement, and daily living success. As a Direct Support Professional, you will work one-on-one with individuals in both home and community settings while following each Individualized Service Plan (ISP).

Key Responsibilities as a Direct Support Professional (DSP)

• Provide Individual Supports and Community-Based Supports as a Direct Support Professional (DSP)
• Assist with daily living skills (meal preparation, hygiene, organization, routines)
• Support community integration, outings, and appointments
• Encourage independence, socialization, and skill development
• Provide supervision and ensure safety at all times
• Document services accurately and timely in HHAeXchange (EVV)
• Communicate effectively with families and office staff
