Job summary

Sertoma Center in Knoxville, TN is seeking Direct Support Professionals to work in our family‑style homes serving 1–4 residents per shift. You will provide compassionate care, assist with daily living, monitor health, document activities, and support residents’ independence on 12‑hour shifts.

Your Role as a Direct Support Professional (DSP):

As a DSP, you'll be instrumental in aiding our individuals with compassionate care, encouragement and instruction throughout their day-to-day life. Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing personalized care for 1 to 4 individuals at a time.
• Assisting with personal and health-related tasks such as basic hygiene, grooming, feeding, mobilization, and medical monitoring.
• Maintaining accurate daily documentation of confidential information.
• Ensuring the personal safety of residents by maintaining a safe and secure environment.
• Fostering positive, trusting relationships with the individuals you support.
• Accompanying our individuals to scheduled appointments and community outings.

Who We're Looking For:

You don't need prior DSP or caregiving experience – we provide all the training! We value compassion, a positive attitude, and a desire to serve.

Requirements:

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Valid Tennessee Driving License
• US Work Authorization
• Must be at least 19 years of age
• 3 years of driving experience
• No more than 3 moving violations on your Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) within the past 3 years
• No prior felony convictions
• Written and Verbal Bilingual Fluency is a plus (but not required!)
• CNAs are encouraged to apply – your skills are highly valued here!
