Job summary

Assistance Plus is hiring a Direct Support Professional to deliver Community Support, Community Membership, and Home Support services. The DSP ensures safe, quality delivery of care within a 30-mile radius of Harmony, ME, and travels with clients in the community.

The position requires weekend hours, a Maine driver's license with valid vehicle insurance, and a DSP certification (or equivalent). A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred and basic computer/email access is needed for

Qualifications

• Proof of vehicle insurance at $50K/$100K and a valid Maine driver's license.
• Must be 17 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• DSP certification.
• Entry level computer experience and must have access to email/internet.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out community and home-based services per plan of care.
• Ensuring the safety of clients in home and community.
• Assisting clients in exploring employment-related activities within Community Support and Community Membership.
• Traveling within 30 miles of home and transporting clients as needed.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Job description

The Direct Support Professional (DSP) carries out services that focus on the specific needs of adults with developmental disabilities and/or autism by providing Community Support, Community Membership, or Home Support services.
