Job summary

Assistance-Plus seeks a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide Community Support, Community Membership, or Home Support services to adults with developmental disabilities and/or autism. You will ensure safe, high-quality delivery of services aligned with each client’s plan of care.

The role requires travel within 30 miles of the employee’s home and the ability to work weekend hours. A Maine driver’s license and vehicle insurance are required, with benefits including mileage reimbursement

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• DSP certification is a plus.
• Entry level computer experience and access to email/internet.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Community Support, Community Membership, or Home Support services as directed by the plan of care.
• Ensure safety of clients in home and community settings.
• Support clients in exploring employment-related activities and community resources.
• Travel within a 30 mile radius of home and transport clients as required.
• Work weekend hours as needed.

Job description

The Direct Support Professional (DSP) carries out services that focus on the specific needs of adults with developmental disabilities and/or autism by providing Community Support, Community Membership, or Home Support services.
