Job summary

Benchmark Human Services in Hanover, IN is seeking Direct Support Professionals for its Supported Living Program. The role offers full-time hours, paid training, and competitive pay of $15/hour.

Responsibilities include ensuring safety, supporting daily living skills, medications administration, and documenting health information. Qualifications include a valid driver's license, access to a vehicle, and minimum age of 18.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and auto insurance.
• Experience with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred but not required.
• High school diploma or equivalent, preferred
• Access to a vehicle in good working order.
• Minimum eighteen (18) years of age.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the individuals safety at home and in the community.
• Assist the individuals served with daily living skills, including personal care, hygiene, community safety, social skills, and household tasks (meal prep, cleaning, laundry).
• Administer medications and follow physicians' orders concerning medications and treatments.
• Monitor the general well-being of the individual served and follow supervisor/nurse instructions.
• Attend and maintain proper training and certifications (first aid, CPR, Medication Administration, behavior management) as required.
• Report to work as scheduled and follow set standards.
• Complete proper documentation related to healthcare (MARs, doctor visit forms, healthcare notes).
• Other duties as assigned.
