Job summary

Right at Home Cleveland West is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals to provide personalized, in-home support that helps clients live safely and comfortably at home. You will perform personal care, meal prep, mobility assistance, companionship, light housekeeping, and transport clients to appointments or errands.

Ideal candidates are dependable, patient, and strong communicators who can follow care plans and adapt to changing client needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Caregiving experience preferred (not required).
• Compassionate, patient, dependable, and professional.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to follow care plans and adapt to changing client needs.
• Reliable transportation + valid driver’s license.
• Must pass a background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Personal care assistance: bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting.
• Meal preparation based on dietary preferences/restrictions.
• Mobility & transfer support: assist with walking, transfers, and prescribed exercises.
• Companionship & engagement to support emotional well‑being.
• Light housekeeping: laundry, vacuuming, keeping a tidy environment.
• Transportation & errands: accompany clients to appointments, shopping, etc.
• Observe and report changes in condition to the care team/family as appropriate.
• Documentation of services provided and observations.
• Team communication to ensure coordinated care.
