IMPACT, Inc. (formerly MARC Community Resources) seeks a Direct Support Professional for a 30‑hour per week daytime shift (9am–3pm) in Connecticut. You will promote inclusion and social development while ensuring health and safety for individuals served.

The role includes contributing to Positive Behavior Support Plans and ISP goals, and aligning with IMPACT principles. The position supports individuals in daily activities, requires relevant certifications, and offers a comprehensive benefits

Qualifications

• Must have CT driver's license and reliable vehicle with CT registration & insurance.
• High school diploma or GED required; higher education preferred.
• CPR/First Aid, PMT, and DDS Medication Administration Certification required or obtainable.
• Ability to run, squat, lift at least 50 pounds and perform safe interventions.

Job description

Direct Support Professional- FT 9am - 3pm

The Direct Support Professional will follow agency policies and participate in related goals and plans, which promote inclusion as well as social and emotional growth for the individuals we support. The DSP is responsible for the health, well-being, and development of individuals we serve and works in conjunction with other staff members to provide the best possible care for all individuals. In addition, the DSP will actively be involved in the creation, implementation, and updating of Positive Behavior Support Plans and ISP goals. The DSP also supports the IMPACT mission, vision, and guiding principles.

Requirments

• Must have a valid CT Driver's License and reliable vehicle with current CT registration and insurance
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Have or be able to obtain CPR/First Aid, PMT, and DDS Medication Administration Certification.
• Essential physical skills to be able to run, squat, stoop/bend, kneel, climb stairs, be able to lift at least 50 pounds (or ¼ of own body weight), push/pull against potential resistance, and be able to implement non-physical and physical intervention and CPR with individuals supported when needed.

Minimum Education And Experience Required

• Minimum of a High School Diploma/GED. Associate or bachelor’s degree in psychology, human services, or related field preferred.
• At least 3-5 years of the job experience preferred but will train motivated candidates.
