ARISE Child and Family Service Inc in Syracuse, NY seeks a 1:1 Direct Support Professional to assist a 35-year-old woman with community activities and money management, helping her connect with others and explore local options.

The role is part-time with a 10:00am–3:00pm schedule on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, starting at $19.25/hour and increasing with relevant experience. Opportunity for additional hours in a supportive, client-centered environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assist the individual with joining activities in the community and developing money management skills.
• Plan and accompany outings to movies, shops, hikes, and eateries.
• Be welcoming and allow time for warm-up, then engage in activities the person enjoys.
• Provide consistent, respectful support during community activities and at home.
• Hours may vary; additional hours available with other services.

1:1 Part-Time Support Staff Needed – Syracuse, NY (DN – AH)

A 35-year-old woman in the Syracuse area is looking for a direct support professional to assist her with joining activities provided in the community that will help her connect with others and assisting her with money management skills.

She can sometimes spend a lot of time inside her home and is hoping to have the opportunity to go out and explore all that the area has to offer. She is very open to trying new things, enjoys going to the movies, visiting local shops, hikes/trails, and going out for a bite to eat. She would like the opportunity to meet others and find friends to be with.

This candidate should be welcoming and allow the individual time to warm up to them. The individual can be shy to new people, but once she gets to know them, she is very vocal about her interests. The candidate should be knowledge about all that the area offers and able to plan fun outings.

This is a part-time position, but additional hours are available with other people receiving services.
