Job summary

The Opportunity Tree is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for Day Programs in Maricopa, AZ. The DSP will support Members with intellectual and developmental disabilities to develop basic life skills, promote independence and choice, and ensure a safe, respectful environment.

Position requires 18+, valid driver's license, English communication, and completion of required trainings including CPR/First Aid.

Qualifications

• Proficient in English communication (written and spoken).
• Experience in IDD field preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Members’ health, safety and daily living activities.
• Coordinate daily living skills and recreational activities per Plan.
• Encourage development of interpersonal skills and independence.
• Coordinate transportation per Person Center Plan and accompany Members.
• Ensure medication procedures are followed and orders implemented.
• Develop, document, and monitor each Member’s program.
