Job summary

Accessible Space, Inc. is hiring a part-time Direct Support Professional in Carson City, NV, to support individuals with daily living activities. You will assist with mobility, transfers, hygiene, and other daily tasks, while providing skills training and cognitive support.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required
• Age 18 or older as required by the State of Nevada
• English language proficiency for client and colleague communication
• Professional demeanor at all times
• Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse individuals
• Background check must be passed as required by Nevada state law
• Health care experience is a plus but not required
• Driver's license and auto insurance are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (mobility, transfers, hygiene, dressing)
• Provide functional skills training (cooking, shopping, cleaning)
• Provide cognitive skills training (memory, speech and language reinforcement)
• Monitor client activities at the site
• Maintain accurate charting/documentation
