Job summary

Mosaic in New Haven, CT is seeking Direct Support Professionals to help people served learn daily living skills and live as independently as possible. Starting wage is $20.16 per hour; you will assist with developing skills, monitor safety, and provide emotional support to residents.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license required, where applicable.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Work requires frequent physical activity including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, climbing, stooping, crouching, squatting and balancing.
• Lifting up to 25 pounds occasionally, pushing/pulling up to 40 pounds, and ability to safely transfer 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist with development of daily living skills and life activities to promote independence.
• Help people identify and achieve goals to live their best life.
• Monitor comfort and safety and meet medical, nutritional and personal care needs.
• Provide emotional support and assist with housekeeping, meal prep and laundry.
