Job summary

Opportunity Living is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support individuals with disabilities, helping them build independence, confidence, and a meaningful life.

You’ll assist with daily living activities, promote participation, maintain safety, and collaborate with a caring team. No prior experience required—training is provided and you’ll join a community dedicated to dignity and respect.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED obtained or in progress.
• Compassion for others and a desire to help.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Dependable, patient and flexible in daily duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, toileting, hygiene).
• Encourage independence and participation in daily routines and activities.
• Implement individualized care and program plans (IPP).
• Support activities, recreation, and community involvement.
• Monitor and report changes in behavior, health, or needs.
• Follow safety procedures and respond to emergencies, including first aid.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable home environment.
• Advocate for the rights and dignity of each individual.
• Collaborate with team members and participate in care planning.
• Complete documentation accurately and timely.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA guidelines.
• All employees may be required to assist with direct care duties as needed.
