Job summary

Northeast Residential Services in Auburn, ME is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to join our team. DSPs provide individualized, high-quality care in safe homes for adults with developmental disabilities and autism, supporting daily living and community integration.

No prior experience is required—training is provided and paid at your normal rate. A valid driver’s license, ability to lift 50 lbs, and willingness to work holidays are essential.

Qualifications

No experience required; training provided.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Ability to lift/push/pull 50 lbs.
Ability to read, write and communicate proficiently in English.
Willingness to work holidays and in inclement weather.
Vaccinations proof: flu, measles, mumps, rubella, varicella.

Responsibilities

Establishing a caring rapport and safe environment.
Interactive engagement with supported individuals (hobbies and interests).
Transporting to medical appointments, commitments, shopping, and community outings.
Following individual service plans and behavioral, medical, and other support protocols.
Supporting basic housekeeping duties and daily hygiene.
Training and certifications provided.
