Job summary

GetHired, Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Professional to assist participants with activities of daily living and to maintain safety at all times under the Maryland DDA framework.

You will perform tasks delegated by the supervisor, drive to community events, document progress in agency systems, and respond to emails daily. CPR/First Aid certification is required, with DDA trainings completed within 60 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of experience with developmental disability program participants or long-term care population preferred.
• Must possess, at minimum, a high school diploma, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist participants with activities of daily living.
• Perform tasks delegated by Supervisor in compliance with Maryland DDA requirements.
• Assist with medication and medication reminders as needed.
• Ensure light housekeeping duties and chores are completed.
• Ensure safety of participant at all times.
• Staff will be required to utilize agency electronic systems for communication, progress notes, incident report filing.
• Ability to report and document incidents within the required timeframe.
• Check and respond to emails daily to maintain proper communication with program office.
• Driving and community interaction is required. This may include, and is not limited to, attending various events, or activities.
• Other duties as assigned by the Operations Director.
