Job summary

The Arc of King County is seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide one-to-one support to individuals with IDD in King County homes and communities. You will document activities, advocate for participants, and align with Residential Guidelines and WA codes.

Responsibilities include attending appointments, assisting with ISP goals, housing reviews, and daily narratives while promoting inclusion and independence for participants.

Qualifications

• Effective communication to provide feedback to all levels of management.
• Experience with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Therap.
• Ability to effectively work both independently and with the Coordinator Team and the Health Advocate Professional.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to analyze data and provide recommendations.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals of diverse backgrounds.
• Ability to prioritize work and ask for support when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one support to participants in homes and communities.
• Complete daily narratives and required documentation.
• Attend appointments with participants (medical, housing, ISPs).
• Assist with setting and meeting ISP objectives and housing reviews.
• Manage participant finances as directed by the Independent Financial Plan (IFP).
• Perform delegated medication administration as needed.
• Assist with personal care tasks.
• Document participant activities in Therap.
• Collaborate with SLP Leads to meet participant needs.
