Arrowhead West, Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Professional/Caregiver to help people with disabilities live meaningful, independent lives.

You will provide hands-on support, teach life skills, and encourage community participation in a compassionate, professional manner. The role involves assisting with daily activities, personal care, and promoting healthy habits while working with Case Managers and PCSP teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Valid driver's license with a good driving record.
• Pass a background check and drug screening.
• Ability to lift 15–50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals in community activities such as shopping, movies, events, and hobbies.
• Teach home care skills like laundry, cooking, cleaning, and grocery routines.
• Support personal care needs and promote healthy habits.
• Follow each person’s PCSP and teach independence skills.
• Collaborate with Case Managers, direct care staff, and supervisors in PCSP teams.

Direct Support Professional/Caregiver

Are you a compassionate, supportive individual who wants to help people with disabilities live meaningful, independent, and joyful lives? As a DSP, you’ll provide hands‑on support while teaching skills, encouraging community participation, and building positive, professional relationships.

What You’ll Do

• Support individuals in community activities: shopping, movies, ball games, library trips, hobbies, local events, and other meaningful outings.
• Teach skills for a clean, safe home, including laundry, cooking, cleaning, and grocery routines.
• Assist with personal care needs (bathing, grooming, mealtime) and promote healthy habits.
• Provide support aligned with each person’s Person‑Centered Support Plan (PCSP) and teach skills that increase independence.
• Collaborate with Case Managers, direct care staff, and supervisors; participate in PCSP teams.

What You’ll Earn:

• Starting at $17.50/hr., with additional pay opportunities for experience and education.
• Paid training; including First Aid & CPR certification, and training related to person centered planning and positive behavior supports.

Schedule: Day hours (6:30 am - 2:30 pm or 8:00 am - 4:00 pm) Monday - Friday
