Crest Services is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) - Autism Care in Des Moines, IA. This full-time role involves providing one-on-one care for individuals with autism, assisting with daily living activities, and supporting medical-related tasks in a group home setting.

Qualifications

• Age 21+.
• Valid driver’s license and insurance.
• Ability to understand, read, write, and speak English.
• At least 1 year of experience in medical, caregiving, or healthcare setting.
• Prior experience supporting individuals with autism preferred.
• Experience with catheter care and wound management a plus.
• Dependable, detail-oriented, and compassionate mindset.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized, one-on-one care for a member with autism to assist with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, meal prep).
• Assist with medical-related care, including catheter placement, wound care, and basic health monitoring.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and respectful living environment.
• Monitor and report changes in behavior or health.
• Help with transportation to appointments or activities.
• Collaborate with healthcare staff to deliver holistic care.
