Job summary

Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota is seeking a Direct Support Professional Assistant in Minnesota to join our team. You will participate as a member of the team, fostering an environment that supports individuals in pursuing hopeful outcomes and personal goals, while ensuring safety and security through direct interaction.

The role requires good reading and writing, basic math, and computer skills; experience with vulnerable populations and individuals with disabilities is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience working with vulnerable populations preferred.
• Experience and/or training with individuals with disabilities preferred.
• Medication administration training required (may be obtained after turning 18).
• First Aid training required, and CPR Certificate may be required (may be obtained after hire).
• Background check clearance required.
• Driver's license required.
• MVR with a satisfactory driving record required upon turning 18.
• Ability to read, write, and use computer skills required.
• Basic math and problem-solving skills required.
• Ability to recognize boundaries.
• Ability to suggest and implement strategies to enhance the service.
• Patience, self-control, and flexibility.
• Computer skills that support LSS technology.
