Job summary

Saint Joe’s Alice House Respite in Cincinnati seeks a part‑time Direct Support Specialist to provide personal care, companionship, and daily living support. The role focuses on independence, dignity, and meaningful engagement for residents with developmental disabilities, in a warm, relationship‑driven environment.

You will assist with activities, build strong relationships with families, and contribute to residents’ physical and emotional well‑being.

Qualifications

• At least 18 years old and able to meet the minimum requirements.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Valid driver’s license and current auto insurance.
• Fewer than 6 points on driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and companionship to residents.
• Assist with daily living tasks, mobility, and hygiene.
• Participate in recreational activities and social engagement.
• Build respectful relationships with residents and families.
