Job summary

Albertina Kerr is seeking caring individuals to work in our adult group homes, helping adults with disabilities lead self-determined lives. You'll assist with medications, meals, dressing, personal hygiene, and daily living activities while building skills and independence.

The role includes driving on local trips, collaborating with families and professionals, following Behavior Support Plans, and performing nursing tasks as directed.

Qualifications

• Great social skills are required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Basic cooking skills helpful.
• Basic cleaning skills expected.

Responsibilities

• Help with medications, meals, dressing, hygiene, and cleaning.
• Build skills and provide guidance to promote independence.
• Support adults in homes, on visits, and in the community.
• Drive to transport clients as needed.
• Communicate with families, professionals, and the person served.
• Follow Behavior Support Plans and monitor health concerns.
• Assist with basic nursing tasks as trained by a Nurse.
• Meet background and driving record requirements.

Each day, you'll support adults in being successful in what they want to do. Common tasks involve help with medications, cooking, dressing, personal hygiene and cleaning.
