Latham Centers, Inc. is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals to support adults in residential programs on Cape Cod. Full-time or part-time roles with employee housing available and paid training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Willingness to learn and commitment to helping adults with disabilities.
• Preferred: One year of experience with individuals with special needs or in an adult residential environment.
• Ability to intervene in extreme behavior situations to ensure safety.
• 5 weeks of paid time off.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals, following dietary restrictions and menu guidelines.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and eating.
• Administer medications (including PRN) and follow MAP procedures.
• Conduct awake/asleep fire drills and provide crisis intervention when needed.
• Maintain home cleanliness and assist residents with personal and shared spaces.
• Transport individuals and support activities like shopping, banking, and outings.
• Collaborate with staff, supervisors, and outside providers to track progress.
• Complete daily documentation in Therap and attend trainings and supervisions.
• Support individuals with additional duties as requested by a supervisor.

Total: $500 Latham Centers, a world-renowned leader in supporting individuals with complex special needs, including Prader-Willi syndrome, is seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professionals (DSPs). In this role, you will provide personalized care, support daily living skills, and foster community engagement for adults in our residential programs.
Locations: Yarmouth, Sandwich, Wareham, Brewster, Dennis, Plymouth, and Barnstable
Compensation: $20.20-$21.85 per hour (based on experience)

Schedule:Full-Time or Part-Time

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve meals, ensuring dietary restrictions and menu guidelines are followed.
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and eating.
• Administer medications (including PRN), follow all MAP procedures, and monitor medical needs.
• Conduct awake/asleep fire drills, provide therapeutic crisis intervention when necessary, and implement all support, behavior, and medical plans.
• Ensure cleanliness of the home and assist residents with maintaining personal and shared spaces.
• Transport individuals and support them in activities like personal shopping, banking, and recreational outings.
• Work effectively with staff, supervisors, and outside providers to ensure individuals’ progress and well-being.
• Complete required daily documentation in Therap, attend all mandatory trainings and supervisions, and maintain up-to-date certifications.
• Support individuals with any additional responsibilities as requested by a supervisor.
