Job summary

Gateways to Change, Inc. in Rhode Island is seeking dedicated Direct Support Workers to provide in-home and community-based support to adults with developmental and physical disabilities.

You will assist individuals in daily living, help them achieve goals in the home and local community, and transport to medical appointments and activities across shifts including full-time, part-time, or sub positions in Rhode Island.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid drivers license and existing insurance, registrations & inspection.
• Must provide a criminal background check with no disqualifying offenses.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide In-Home and Community Based support to individuals
• Assist individuals with achieving a variety of goals in the home and local community
• Transport individuals to medical appointments, personal shopping, and recreation activities
• Assist in toileting, dressing, and hygiene
