Job summary

Merakey is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) for our Sacramento, CA program. The role provides direct support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in homes, community settings, and Adult Training Facilities.

The team works with individuals who may display challenging behaviors, implementing plans to promote safety, independence, and well-being. Earn $23-$25 per hour, with a rate increase to $2 per hour after obtaining RBT certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• RBT certification or licensed psychiatric technician, or obtain RBT within 12 months.
• At least 6 months experience with IDD/MH population or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support to individuals with IDD/ MH in homes, community settings, and Adult Training Facilities.
• Implement behavior support plans and assist with personal care and daily living activities.
• Promote community engagement and independence while ensuring health, safety, dignity and well-being.
• Remain compassionate, resilient, and professional in challenging situations.
