Job summary

Citizen Care Inc., a subsidiary of Partners For Quality Inc., is hiring a Direct Support Professional to assist adults with daily living in residential homes. You will support personal care, meals, medication administration and community participation, in a compassionate team setting.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Reliable transportation.
• Driver's license preferred.
• The ability to lift and transfer without restrictions.
• Act 34 and FBI clearances, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with activities of daily living in a residential setting.
• Support personal hygiene, bathing and toileting.
• Attend medical appointments with individuals.
• Administer prescribed medications as directed.
• Assist with meal preparation and following prescribed diets.
• Perform household chores such as laundry, vacuuming and dusting.
• Encourage participation in community activities and visits with family and friends.
• Provide supervision to ensure safety and welfare.

Citizen Care Inc., a subsidiary of Partners For Quality Inc., provides residential, day program, habilitation, supported employment opportunities and behavioral support services to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Direct Support Professional (DSP) will be responsible for assisting individuals with their activities of daily living in a residential home setting. Duties include, but are not limited to assisting each person with:

• Helping people to realize their hopes and dreams
• Personal hygiene needs, including bathing and toileting
• Medical appointments
• Administering prescribed medications
• Meal preparation, cooking and following prescribed diet
• Household chores such as laundry, vacuuming and dusting
• Participating in community life such as shopping, leisure activities and visiting family and friends
• Providing supervision to assure safety and welfare
