Merakey is hiring Direct Support Professionals in Philadelphia, PA. No experience required—we provide paid training and welcoming, mission-driven teams to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

The DSP role involves direct care, daily living support, transportation, and community engagement to promote independence and well-being. Key responsibilities include ADL support, personal care, and documenting progress.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Experience in a home health aide setting, or school setting working with people who have Intellectual and Developmental disabilities is preferred.
• Must have a desire to help others reach their fullest potential.

Responsibilities

• Providedirect careand support with activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Assist withpersonal care, hygiene, mobility, and meal preparation
• Supportlife skills development, including household tasks and social skills
• Providecommunity support, transportation
• Promotehealth, safety, and well-being, including medication support (as trained)
• Complete requireddocumentation, progress notes, and service logs
