Direct Support Professional (DSP)

Traditional Home Care, a locally owned and operated Home Care Agency, is seeking reliable, experienced direct support professionals to provide one‑on‑one, non‑medical support to individuals diagnosed with intellectual, developmental disabilities, autism, mental health, behavioral diagnoses, etc.

Pay Range: $15.00-$18.00 per hour.

Location: Wilkes‑Barre, PA and surrounding areas.

Shift: Full-time, part-time, weekdays, weekends and overnight shifts available.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with personal care services (bathing, grooming, dressing)
• Provide companionship
• Use appropriate communication and social skills
• Perform light housekeeping and chores
• Ensure a safe environment and teach basic safety skills
• Help meet individual goals and outcomes
• Promote community involvement (outings, activities, errands, etc.)

Position Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Prior experience as a Direct Support Professional (DSP)

Mobile Device & EVV Requirements: This position complies with the 21st Century Cures Act which mandates Electronic Visit Verification (EVV). Candidates must be comfortable using smartphones or tablets and have reliable internet access to log visits and track service hours.
