Job summary

Catholic Charities of Long Island is seeking Direct Support Professionals for our group home in West Babylon, NY. You will support developmentally disabled residents with daily living, safety, and encouragement, within a caring, faith-based environment.

Responsibilities include transportation, skills coaching, personal care, meal prep, and general household tasks. Evening, full-time schedule available; weekend differential may apply. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Must have valid NYS Driver’s License.
• Ability to assist residents with care, safety, and daily living.

GROUP HOME- OPWDD RESIDENTIAL SERVICES - West Babylon, NY

• Transport/safeguard residents on outings

• Perform household maintenance tasks, including meal preparation
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• A HS diploma/GED
• Valid NYS Driver’s License
• Ability to perform tasks that may require stooping, crouching, and 2-person lifting up to 250 pounds.
• Ability to maintain personal safety and respond appropriately in a calm, non-confrontational manner during an individual's physical or emotional outburst.

Schedule

Full-time Evening opportunities available.

Base Rate of Pay

$21. per hour (Weekend differential pay is an additional $1.00/hr.)

This rate of pay serves as a good faith estimate. Actual pay is based on a number of factors which may include a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, experience and work location. The salary range or rate listed does not include any differential pay or other forms of compensation, such as the value of benefits, which may be applicable to this position.
