Metro Star Services in Central Florida is hiring Direct Support Professionals to assist individuals with daily living, health needs, and community involvement. You will help develop independence, follow care plans, and promote safety in a compassionate team setting.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED and at least 1 year in caregiving or disability support. Background checks and AMAP or similar training may be required. Weekly pay and flexible schedules are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of caregiving, healthcare, or disability support experience preferred (credits may substitute).
• Must be reliable, patient, and compassionate.
• Ability to pass background checks and required certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care tailored to each individual’s needs.
• Assist with ADLs including personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming.
• Support meal preparation and meet dietary requirements.
• Promote independent living skills like budgeting and shopping.
• Encourage community inclusion, social skills, and recreation.
• Follow individualized goals and support plans in a person-centered environment.
• Ensure health and safety of individuals in your care.
• Document and report incidents or concerns as required.
• Communicate effectively with staff, management, and families.

Job Summary:

As aDirect Support Professional (DSP),you will provide hands-on care and assistance to individuals in their daily lives. Your role will include helping them develop independent living skills, ensuring community inclusion, and supporting their overall well-being.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct care services tailored to the individual’s needs.
• Assist withActivities of Daily Living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming.
• Support individuals inmeal preparationand ensure dietary needs are met.
• Promoteindependent living skillssuch as budgeting, grocery shopping, and household chores.
• Encourage and facilitatecommunity inclusion, social skills, and recreational activities.
• Implementindividualized goals and support plansin a person-centered environment.
• Ensure thehealth and safetyof all individuals under your care.
• Identify, document, and report anyincidents, allegations of abuse, or concernsas required.
• Administermedications accurately(upon successful completion of an approved AMAP course).
• Communicate effectively withstaff, management, and familiesto ensure coordinated care.

Qualifications:
