Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of caregiving/healthcare or disability support experience.
• Reliable, patient, and compassionate.
• Ability to follow care plans and safety procedures.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Must pass background checks and required certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care tailored to the individual’s needs.
• Assist with ADLs, including personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming.
• Support with meal preparation and dietary needs.
• Promote independent living skills such as budgeting, grocery shopping, and household chores.
• Encourage community inclusion, social skills, and recreational activities.
• Implement individualized goals and support plans in a person-centered environment.
• Ensure the health and safety of all individuals under your care.
• Identify, document, and report incidents or concerns as required.
• Administer medications accurately (upon AMAP course completion).
• Communicate effectively with staff, management, and families to ensure coordinated care.

Job Summary:

As aDirect Support Professional (DSP),you will provide hands‑on care and assistance to individuals in their daily lives. Your role will include helping them develop independent living skills, ensuring community inclusion, and supporting their overall well‑being.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct care services tailored to the individual’s needs.
• Assist withActivities of Daily Living (ADLs), including personal hygiene, dressing, and grooming.
• Support individuals inmeal preparationand ensure dietary needs are met.
• Promoteindependent living skillssuch as budgeting, grocery shopping, and household chores.
• Encourage and facilitatecommunity inclusion, social skills, and recreational activities.

• Must be reliable, patient, and compassionate.
