Job summary

Abilities, LLC in Warrensburg, MO is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to assist individuals with developmental disabilities at home and in the community, with flexible part-time schedules.

Starting pay is $18.00 per hour, with a 6% increase upon DSP Certification, and a benefits package including PTO, holiday pay, and comprehensive insurance.

You will follow care plans, help with daily tasks, document notes, and drive clients to appointments as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent).
• Completion of all required training (provided by Abilities, LLC).
• Must pass a criminal background check.
• Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to learn documentation systems.

Responsibilities

• Help people with disabilities in their homes and out in the community.
• Support people with daily tasks like cooking, cleaning, and getting dressed.
• Help them reach their personal goals and do fun or meaningful activities.
• Follow their care plans and help with behavior or medical needs as trained.
• Keep good notes about what happens during your shift using a computer or phone.
• Give medications after training and follow health rules.
• Treat everyone with respect and help them make their own choices.
• Keep the home safe, clean, and welcoming.
• Drive people to appointments or outings when needed.

Compensation & Growth
