Job summary

United Cerebral Palsy of Long Island is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) in Suffolk County, NY. No experience needed; paid training provided. Full-time and part-time positions with flexible scheduling and a generous benefits package are available.

You will assist with daily living activities, help clients build independence, and accompany them to appointments in a supportive environment. We value compassionate and motivated individuals with a passion for helping others.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid NYS Driver’s License preferred.
• Experience in DSP/HHA/CNA/PCA or caregiving is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, hygiene).
• Help individuals build independence and life skills.
• Support with cooking, cleaning, and daily routines.
• Provide hands-on mobility and care assistance.
• Accompany individuals to appointments and community outings.
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive environment.
• Complete documentation in line with OPWDD guidelines.
