Job summary

United Cerebral Palsy of Long Island is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) in Suffolk County, NY, offering $20.00–$22.40/hr with 100% paid health insurance for full-time roles and paid training. No experience needed, with immediate openings and flexible scheduling.

You’ll assist with daily living activities, help individuals build independence, and accompany them to appointments and community outings, contributing to a safe, respectful care environment under OPWDD guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid NYS Driver’s License required with minimum of 1 year of driving experience.
• Experience in DSP/HHA/CNA/caregiving/customer service is a plus but not required.
• Positive attitude and passion for helping others.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, hygiene).
• Help individuals build independence and life skills.
• Support with cooking, cleaning, and daily routines.
• Provide hands-on assistance with mobility and care.
• Accompany individuals to appointments and community outings.
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and supportive environment.
• Complete documentation in line with OPWDD guidelines.
