Job summary

Cardinal McCloskey Community Services (CMCS) is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to support individuals with developmental disabilities in New York. You’ll assist with daily living, transportation, and personal care while promoting independence, dignity, and inclusion.

Must have a valid NYS driver’s license and be able to lift up to 70 lbs. Starting wage $17.46/hour, with increases up to $20/hour with location differentials and after training; CMCS offers

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or 2 years of work experience.
• Experience working with individuals with special needs is a plus.
• Valid NYS driver’s license for two years with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support with daily living activities including hygiene, cooking, housekeeping, and laundry.
• Assist with medication administration, transportation to appointments, and behavioral support as needed.
• Encourage independence and community involvement by supporting individuals to achieve personal goals.
• Foster a positive, respectful environment that promotes dignity, choice, and inclusion.

We're looking for caring and dedicated Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our team! • Ability to safely lift and assist up to 70 lbs, to support individuals' mobility, personal care, transfers, and emergency needs with care and dignity.

Compensation

• Starting Pay: $17.46/hour
• With a BA or 3 Years of Experience: $17.96/hour
• Differential Pay Locations: Deveau, St. Theresa, Waterbury, and Locust - potential to earn up to $20/hour
• Additional: $0.75/hour increase after completing all required training
