Independent Beginnings is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSP) / Caregivers to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Sidney, OH. Positions available: Full-Time and Part-Time, with day, night, and weekend shifts.

What we will provide you as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) / Caregiver:

• $18.00- $19.00/Hour(depending on experience, longevity and behavior)
• $3 weekend add-on rate(applies to certain shifts and conditions)

As a Direct Support Professional (DSP) / Caregiver you will:

• Provide direct care to people with intellectual/developmental disabilities
• Help with daily activities including personal care, housekeeping, and meal preparation
• Work closely with a team of people including co-workers, client's family members, and medical professionals to help our clients to live as independent as possible
• Transport clients as needed to appointments and other activities (mileage reimbursement)

Qualifications Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must be able to communicate in English, including both spoken and written
• A personal vehicle that is well maintained if transporting clients
• Must successfully complete a criminal background check

Preferred Experience:

• One year working with people with intellectual/developmental disabilities is preferred
• Direct Support Professional (DSP) / Caregiver / Home Health Aide / Home Health Care / Personal Care experience is a plus

Licenses/Certifications:

• CPR/First Aid - Provided if you are not currently certified
• Medication Administration - Provided if you are not currently certified
• Must have a valid driver's license with no more than 5 points on your driving record if transporting clients
• DODD Provider Training
• Proof of personal auto insurance
