Job summary

Homes for Independent Living of Wisconsin LLC is seeking caregivers to provide bedside and personal care, monitor clients, and document progress in their records.

You will assist with meals, housekeeping, nutrition planning, transport, and communication support for clients and families, under supervision.

Qualifications

• Experience providing bedside or personal care.

Responsibilities

• Administer bedside or personal care as directed (ambulation, hygiene).
• Prepare and maintain client progress records and report changes to supervisor.
• Monitor vital signs and assist with medications as directed by clinicians.
• Perform housekeeping tasks and assist with meal planning and preparation.
• Instruct or advise clients on daily living activities and nutrition.
• Transport clients to appointments or activities.
• Provide communication assistance and assist with client correspondence.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Administer bedside or personal care, such as ambulation or personal hygiene assistance.
• Prepare and maintain records of client progress and services performed, reporting changes in client condition to manager or supervisor.
• Perform healthcare-related tasks, such as monitoring vital signs and medication, under the direction of registered nurses or physiotherapists.
• Perform housekeeping duties, such as cooking, cleaning, washing clothes or dishes, or running errands.
• Plan, shop for, or prepare nutritious meals or assist families in planning, shopping for, or preparing nutritious meals.
• Instruct or advise clients on issues, such as household cleanliness, utilities, hygiene, nutrition, or infant care.
• Transport clients to locations outside the home, such as to physicians\' offices or on outings, using a motor vehicle.
• Provide clients with communication assistance, typing their correspondence or obtaining information for them.
