SimpleHire is partnering with a healthcare and human services organization to recruit Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) who are dedicated to improving the lives of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. You will provide hands-on assistance, promote independence, and help clients achieve personal goals in a safe, supportive setting.

We are seeking compassionate, reliable caregivers who take pride in delivering exceptional care.

Qualifications

• Experience as DSP, Caregiver, PCA, HHA, or CNA is preferred.
• Experience with IDD populations
• Familiarity with person-centered care and support plans
• CPR/First Aid certification required

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized support to individuals with IDD.
• Assist with ADLs including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
• Encourage independence through life skills development and community engagement.
• Support transportation, appointments, recreational activities, and daily routines.
• Follow individualized support plans and maintain accurate documentation.
• Monitor safety, health, and well-being of individuals.
• Assist with medication administration when authorized and trained.
• Collaborate with supervisors, families, and care teams to provide consistent support.
• Maintain a respectful, safe, and positive environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide individualized support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).
• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.
• Encourage independence through life skills development and community engagement.
• Support individuals with transportation, appointments, recreational activities, and daily routines.
• Follow individualized support plans and maintain accurate documentation.
• Monitor individual safety, health, and well-being.
• Assist with medication administration when authorized and appropriately trained.
• Collaborate with supervisors, families, and care teams to deliver consistent, person-centered support.
• Maintain a respectful, safe, and positive environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Direct Support Professional (DSP), Caregiver, Personal Care Assistant (PCA), Home Health Aide (HHA), or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
• Experience working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
• Familiarity with person-centered care and individualized support plans.
• CPR/First Aid certification.
